隨著醫療技術的發展和改善,各界對護士和健康護理人員的期望和要求亦相對提高。本學院一向以發展專業持續教育課程為宗旨,為學員提供高質素的護理學及健康護理進修機會。
各項課程由短期至深造文憑,涵蓋範圍由註冊前護理課程、醫療行政管理,以及各種護理學的專業課程:包括腸胃科、腎科、腫瘤及紓緩護理、及造口護理以至日常長者護理及物理治療技巧等。

The programme is designed to equip nurses with specialist knowledge and clinical skills in renal nursing through lectures, skills training classes, site visit and placement. The course content will cover renal disorders, application of peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis include Arterial Vascular Access and care management of a patient with acute and chronic renal failure.

Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of the programme, students should be able to:
1. Explain the role of nutrients, food and diet in health and development;
2. Compare and contrast the nutritional requirement of adults, children and adolescents;
3. Evaluate the dietary strategies used to prevent and manage childhood feeding problems and common nutrition related diseases in children and adolescents;
4. Apply dietary guidelines to design a suitable meal plan for children and adolescents with common diet related conditions such as constipation, fussy eating, excessive weight gain;
5. Critique literature relating to nutrition and health of children and adolescents.
This programme aims to develop a deep and critical understanding of the impact of frailty on an individual’s health and well-being, both physically and psychologically.
It will provide students with an opportunity to debate and evaluate evidence based, person centred strategies and/or interventions (such as falls management) for active ageing, self-management and independence, in an inter-professional context. Students will critically evaluate the application of these approaches in their own individual practice area.
This programme aims to share the contemporary thinking in relation to leadership theory and its relevance to professional practice. Students will be supported to relate this theory to their own personal and professional development in addition critically exploring its capacity to impact on global, organisational and team dynamics.
This programme focuses on critically applying knowledge and understanding to support service development for people with long term conditions’; promoting self-management and collaborative working. This programme is based on best practice discussed within national and international policy and guidelines. It will explore in depth the impact of long-term conditions on the individual, their family and carers.
The programme aims to encourage practitioners to further develop their knowledge and skills in order to maximise person centred care during routine practice and develop services to support individuals with long term conditions’ in line with health and social care policy.
