How to Apply - Am I Qualified

    Bachelor Degree Programmes

    • normally be at least 17 years old; and
    • satisfy the general entrance requirements; and
    • satisfy the appropriate course requirements (if applicable).

    General Entrance Requirements

    • Either passes in:
      • 2 subjects at GCE / HK A Level + at least 3 further subjects at GCSE / GCE O Level or HKCEE at not less than grade C; or
      • 3 subjects at GCE / HK A Level + 1 further subject at GCSE / GCE O Level or HKCEE at not less than grade C; or
      • 2 subjects at GCE / HK A Level + 2 further subjects at AS Level.

    Notes:

    1. In all instances where A Level examinations are specified, 2 AS Level examinations can be accepted as equivalent to 1 A Level.
    2. A subject may be counted at only one level of examination. 
    3. A pass at the HK AS "Use of English" examination is not acceptable as equivalent to GCSE / GCE O Level English Language grade C, but may be considered as acceptable evidence of proficiency in English.
    4. A pass at grade A-C in the HK AL "Use of English" is accepted as equivalent to grade C at GCSE / GCE O Level in English Language.
    • The University of Hong Kong / HKU SPACE Community College - Associate Degree or Higher Diploma or Advanced Certificate in General Studies
    • HKU SPACE - Diploma in Legal Studies or Diploma in Housing Management or Diploma in Finance

    Course Requirements

    In addition to the general entrance requirements, certain degrees require you to have course specific qualifications such as competence in Mathematics and English language.

    Graduates Holding a Recognised Full First Degree

       

    Graduate Entry Route
        Graduate Entry Route is available for the LLB degree and the degree in the fields of Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences (EMFSS).
       

    Postgraduate Programmes
       

    Applicants should usually have a good first degree in appropriate subject from an institution acceptable to the University. However, applicants with professional qualifications and experience may be taken into consideration.
