...Studying with World-class Universities...
"My experience with the University of London International Programmes has truly been a remarkable one. I came across an opportunity to study a bachelor’s degree from one of the most renowned universities in the world, I took it and I feel proud of the decision. With the support of the lecturers, I was able to let loose my true potential."
"After the completion of my Associate of Business Administration at HKU SPACE Community College, I chose the BSc Banking and Finance programme at CIDP because the BSc programme offered by the University of London International Programmes is a quality programme."
"This UWA degree is a highly reputable award. It gave me a good career start which I had never expected before. As an alumnus, I would not hesitate to introduce this programme to students interested in communication studies."
The QS World University Rankings 2011/12 placed UWA at 73rd internationally, among the World's Top 100 with HKU, CUHK and HKUST.
...Recognition of the Award...
"I chose this programme because of its international recognition status. Lecturers were all patient and supportive. Facilities and study location were good too. With this degree qualification, I believe that graduates will have high chance to get a job in this competitive market."
"Upon completion of this programme, I got MA offers from two local universities and seven other UK universities ranking from top 6th to top 30th. This programme can fit into everyone’s interest. I used to study linguistics, but then I was deeply inspired by the criminology postmodern theory. This eventually drove me to continue a master’s degree in legal language translation."
"Some Hong Kong students prefer local degrees to overseas degrees. I had similar perception before. However, after taking this programme, my concept has been changed completely. The programme is well-structured and I can learn various skills and achieve tasks within a limited time frame. The assignments are also very challenging. Most importantly, I can feel the passion of lecturers from both local and the UK. It is a good study option which helps me develop self-confidence and allow me to plan for my future after graduation."
"From my job-hunting experience, my qualification has been widely recognised by employers, who offer equal opportunities to both overseas and local university graduates. Besides, I gained exposure to operational knowledge from my internship at Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority, which equipped me for my future jobs."
"After I obtained my Higher Diploma qualification and started to work, I felt a need to further equip myself for a such competitive environment like Hong Kong. I chose to study Curtin University’s Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Advertising) at CIDP because this career-oriented programme enables students to apply academic knowledge to workplace. I like the programme as I can obtain an international award in less than two years. HKU SPACE lecturers and Curtin professors are helpful and willing to provide support as much as they can.
Many people wrongly perceive that the qualification of a top-up degree is not equivalent to a local university degree. After I have gone through many job interviews, I want to rectify this perception. My award is having the same academic standing equal to any other local degree award."
...Professional Qualifications...
"I graduated from the University of Hull Accounting degree programme after only one year of study. With the Hull accounting award, I have become more competitive in the employment market, because what I have learnt is practical, and the programme is accredited by professional bodies such as ACCA and HKICPA. These are all essential to my accounting career. I am currently studying hard for the HKICPA QP examination and hopefully I can complete the QP by the age of 25 to further help me climbing up the career ladder ."
Ms. Mok was the recipient of the accounting scholarship jointly awarded by the University of Hull and HKU SPACE CIDP in 2010.
"After graduating from CUTW, it took me only one year to obtain the BSc (Honours) Accounting award from University of Hull at CIDP. I engaged actively in group discussions and enjoyed my study very much. More importantly, the lecturers were professional and the programme prepared me for the HKICPA QP examination. Not until recently have I realised that the lectures of the Hull Accounting programme were run very much like the QP workshop I am now attending! The accounting knowledge that I gained from the course also equipped me well for my current job in a top-20 (HK) audit firm."
...Full-time Study...
"It is an exceptional experience for me to return to college life with a 5-year full-time hotel employment background. The teaching staff and classmates always encourage me and take good care of me so that I can adapt quickly to the full-time study. They are always willing to help and coach me when I encounter difficulties. I have a pleasant time at CIDP and truly find the modules highly relevant to the real business world and the examples illustrated by the lecturers are up-to-date, practical and useful. Besides, the SDCS counselors always follow through my needs and spend quality time in communication with me. With all these great supports, I am confident in dealing with assessments and tackling challenges ahead."

"I am now (in November 2011) an Account Executive at Asiaray Group (outdoor media agency). I am glad that I can apply what I have learnt from my study of Curtin Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Advertising) to this challenging job.
I chose this programme because the alumni gave positive feedbacks on CIDP, Curtin’s marketing programme and graduates’ excellent career prospects. In addition to the good reputation, I also had a strong sense of belonging towards HKU SPACE since Higher Diploma study, so I wanted to complete my study in this familiar environment. I enjoyed the college life at CIDP and found the programme curriculum appropriate for anyone who aims at becoming a marketing and advertising professional. I am now confident in developing a career in the field I enjoy most."

The course has enriched my knowledge of sport management, event management, organisational management and the culture of the sporting industry in Hong Kong. The programme also brings students a unique opportunity to learn the practice and knowledge of the West and East in the discipline of sport management.

I also learnt about criminological theories, classic studies and researches, which are basic yet important knowledge."
