Third Movement of Life’s Sonata ------- YOUR Space in SPACE
Life is a time-space in stages. To say in it in the simplest way, we progress from childhood to adulthood, and then to a third stage beyond mid-life. These might best be described in parallel to a sonata which brings one through the musical ladder of three movements: exposition, development and recapitulation.
Thanks to the challenges, excitement, disappointments and success in our childhood and adulthood, we have become the mature self we are with many of our missions completed. The gradual inflow of the third movement brings the opportunity for consolidation and recapitulation, and HKU SPACE believes that it is the wish of many to re-create their own space of enjoyment and life fulfilment at this juncture.
Do you have a plan? Yes? No? Irrespective of your answer, we are happy to present to you our tailored made courses / activities as your starters. It is our sincere hope to grow and develop with you and many others who look forward to a new movement in their life.
Starters and Beyond

HKU SPACE has filled each plate, for your easy pick, with short courses under the theme ‘Life Enrichment’, ‘Wellness and Healthcare’ and ‘Retirement and Wealth Management’ respectively. With the largest plate filled with courses in arts and humanities for life enrichment, there are courses on healthcare as well as Chinese Medicine on the second and in wealth management on the top.
If you wish to have something substantial, please look at the serving on the elegant floral gateau plate on the right – our new Postgraduate Diploma in Humanities. You will be able to achieve a ‘renaissance’ of the mind, a rediscovery of the self, culture, society and the meaning of life through interdisciplinary inquiry in the humanities led by distinguished scholars like Professor Cheung Chan Fai, who is a veteran in researching the history of Western philosophy, the philosophy of love and the philosophy of happiness and the Rev. Dr HA, Keloon Louis, who is an expert in religious studies and Western civilization.

人生奏鳴曲第三章 —— 光芒再現
人的一生，雖長繁短簡各異，唯仍可分為數個階段。從簡單的角度來看，人生猶如一首奏鳴曲，由三個主要樂章組成，個中起承轉合，各有其精彩獨特之處。
各位今日可能已成功演奏了首兩個樂章，經歷了順逆高低，悲歡離合，也完成了大部分人生的目標。 現在，人生奏鳴曲已慢慢奏起稱為「再現部」的第三章，各位有否想過藉此機會，將經驗歷練沉澱，重新檢視和滿足自己的需要，並展現一個新的自己？
