Calm your spirit, ease your mind
Many people have been experiencing enormous mood swings due to the upheaval in society in recent months. To promote physical, mental and spiritual well-being, HKU SPACE is organising the annual “Alumni Week” for 2019 from October to November, on the theme of “活好‧身心靈” (Calm your spirit, ease your mind).
We invite you to spend relaxing and pleasant evenings at school, while learning little hacks to help you calm down and stay healthy.
If you would like to learn how to steady your emotions and enhance the quality of your sleep, why not join Dr Cheung Kwan-sheung, Associate Professor of Chinese Medicine, and learn breathing techniques and recipes for medicinal Chinese soups that will help you. You can also learn how to express your feelings from Ms Marisa Kwok, an acclaimed soprano and lecturer of HKU SPACE to help you relieve stress and stay positive through singing.
Mr Shum Yat-fei, a senior current affairs commentator, will also share his views on the world situation in 2020, combining forecasts from western prophets and the Chinese Book of Changes.
