HKU SPACE confers Honorary Fellowships on five distinguished individuals
The HKU SPACE 7th Honorary Fellowship Ceremony was held on 28 May 2021. The event was originally scheduled for December 2020, but was postponed due to COVID restrictions.
The five Honorees were:
Professor Cheng Kin-fai
Dr Ko Wing-man
Mr Lam Chiu-ying
Mr Vincent Wong Ling-sun
Ms Esther Wong May-wai
Professor Edward K.Y. Chen, Chairman of HKU SPACE Board of Directors, presided at the Ceremony. Professor William K.M. Lee, Director of HKU SPACE, delivered the welcoming address. While four Deputy Directors: Dr Dorothy Chan, Professor Chan Lung-sang, Dr John Cribbin, Professor Sonny Lo and Dr Chan Chun-leung, Chief Information Officer, said a few words to the five Honorees in recognition of their great outstanding achievements and contributions.
The School set up the Honorary Fellowship in 2014 to recognise outstanding individuals who had made significant contributions to the School, academia and the city, and underscored the School’s close relationship with the local community and the education sector.
