About this Distinguished Lecture
As we enter the second decade of the new century, the shift of economic and political importance from West to East will dramatically accelerate. But the opportunities for China and the rest of Asia will only be best realized if education and innovation are the guiding forces. In the world we are transitioning to, education, always socially desirable, has become the economic imperative, and educated talent the engine of development.
John Naisbitt, author of a many Megatrend books, will deliver the most updated messages about Asia's rise and future. John and his wife, Doris, co-author of China's Megatrends: The 8 Pillars of a New Society, will share with us their judgments on the most important trends in the shift from West to East with special focus on the role of the young people of Asia. The lecture will certainly be a great opportunity to learn for all of us who need to better position ourselves to embracing change to benefit in the future.
