        Mr. Marvin Lai is Managing Principal of Burgeon Group Consulting Ltd., Senior Advisor to LionRock Capital Ltd. (HK) and ES Capital Group, and co-Chairman of the Venture Committee of Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA).

        Mr. Lai has over 25 years’ experience in financial services (venture capital & private equity), technologies (telecommunications, IT), and consumption, etc. Mr. Lai is responsible for Burgeon Group’s principal investment and management consulting businesses. Prior to Burgeon, Mr. Lai was Senior Partner at ES Capital where he spearheaded its Asian Principal Investment Advisory (PIA) and private placement opportunities. Prior thereto, Mr. Lai was Partner at iTM Ventures where he headed its principal investment businesses overseeing investments in telecommunications, consumption, and technology sectors.

        Mr. Lai holds EMBA from INSEAD and Beijing Tsinghua University (SEM) (北京清華大學經管學院), M.Sc. in Financial Management from University of London, M.A. (Management Research) from Macquarie University (MGSM), M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.
