The Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®) were created and sponsored by CFA Institute to provide assurance to investors who want reliable performance metrics based on the principles of fair representation and full disclosure.

While compliance with the GIPS standards has become a de facto requirement in the business of winning new mandates, learning more about key aspects and updates of the GIPS standards, as well as the vision for the next edition of the GIPS standards, proves valuable both to an investor seeking to engage the services of an investment management firm and to members of a firm who are interested in complying with the GIPS standards.

In this coming symposium, the CFA Institute executive director of GIPS and the member of GIPS Interpretations Subcommittee will give an update on the GIPS standards and discuss its impact on performance reporting and investor confidence.
