Centennial College, a new and independent post-secondary college registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap. 320), is established by the University of Hong Kong to provide full-time self-financed 4-year degree programmes. The College, which will admit its first students in September 2012, is now inviting applications for appointments as:
Duties: The appointee will assist the Vice-President (Academic) in developing, overseeing and implementing appropriate quality assurance policies and mechanisms. He/She will develop and review QA policies; coordinate the implementation of QA measures including internal and external validation exercises and reviews; provide secretarial support to committees such as writing committee papers and minutes; manage QA records databases, supervise support staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years' levant experience in the higher education and/or continuing education sector, of which at least 4 years should be at managerial level. They should be independent, detail-minded, a good team leader and able to work under pressure. Strong organisational, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, good computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office and Chinese Word Processing), and excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are required.
Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with renewal being possible subject to performance review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract. Medical benefits and annual leave will be provided where applicable.
