This programme is designed for students interested in a career and further study in public relations, advertising, marketing research or media relations.

This program is a broad-based social sciences education with a focus in marketing communication. Students will acquire and develop the knowledge and skills in communicating the corporation's message to the market and conducting different kinds of promotional activities. Graduates can work as professional marketing communicators or further their studies in the marketing field.

本課程旨在培訓同學市場營銷傳播的專業知識,發展他們的事業,繼續終生學習。 畢業同學會掌握社會科學的基本知識,以及市場營銷傳播的運作。他們將掌握專業的知識及技能,去處理市場營銷傳播的工作,或繼續進修有關的大學學位課程。

Students will need to study 10 core social sciences modules and the specialism modules of the chosen stream.  Please refer to the leaflet for details.

Articulation arrangements with a number of overseas universities have been established. Based on individual merit, students may be eligible to apply for further studies, either to the 2nd year of a 3-year honours bachelor degree or to the 3rd year of a 4-year honours bachelor degree programme.

Lecturers

Ms. Donna Chen

With 15 years of experiences working with multinational brands, Donna had exposure to various industries through Product Creation and Corporate Brand Management. Conceptualize and orchestrate campaigns that effectively meet business objective. 

Ms. Renée Kwan

Renée Kwan, former Managing Director of TBWA\Hakuhodo  Guang Zhou (affiliate agency of global communication network Omnicom), has spent 20+ years in the fields of advertising, branding and communications, both agency and corporate sides.  Prior to this, Renée had also  led senior roles in several global communication networks including Nitro Group, Publicis and Asatsu-DK.  The brands she had worked with ranged from Nissan Automobiles, Unilever, Mitsubishi  Motors, HP, Sony Ericsson, Kodak and Marlboro, to name just a few. Her experience to work extensively with a wide variety of premier marketers made her one of the respected brand and communications expert in the industry.

Renée is now working as Strategy Consultant. Her projects included a CBD development in Tianjin, China; the rebranding of Cathay Pacific and the pitch for Vitasoy International.  With her increased love for education, Renée just accomplished her Master of Education awarded by University of Bristol, she is also holder of MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Mr. R. Wong

Mr. Wong has over 20 years of regional experiences in field of marketing communications, brand management and public relations gained from MNCs.  He teaches Universities from USA, Australia, UK and local for 17 years and conducts corporate training for MNCs and brand owners in Hong Kong, Macau and China.  With professional qualification in Marketing, Mr. Wong received his MBA from Monash University and MA degrees in English and electronic business (Distinction).

Applicants shall:

(a)    have gained in the HKDSE Examination Level 2 in five subjects including English Language, Chinese Language, Mathematics, Liberal Studies and 1 elective subject; and have 3 years of working experience; or

(b)    have gained in the HKCEE Grade E in 3 subjects and Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language; and have 3 years of work experience; or

(c)    have gained in the HKALE Grade E in 1 AL subject or 2 AS subjects; or

(d)    be aged at least 25 years and with 3 years of work experience.

Applicants should have good command of reading and written English and Chinese.
