Course Description
The programme consists of the conceptual knowledge of business management and information systems. Students will learn the basic understanding, the methods and implementation techniques of business administration. They are also given an understanding of how to manage an information system for resolving the operational problems executives face in the workplace, enabling them to apply the knowledge learned to real-life business environment.On completion of the Programme, students should be able to:
- Describe the basic knowledge of accounting, marketing and management practices for supporting business operations;
- Plan, analyse, and practise business information systems;
- Develop structured computer projects, desgin database and business systems for resolving operational problems; and
- Apply appropriate business-oriented IT solutions to improve and refine business operations.
Duration
- 24 months to 4 years
- 30 to 33 hours per module

Medium of Instruction
- English supplemented with Cantonese where appropriate.

Entry Requirements
Applicants shall:
1. (a) have gained at least 5 subjects in the HKCEE at Grade E or above including English Language* (Syllabus B) (Grade C in the case of English Language (Syllabus A)) and Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; and
(b) have gained in HKALE Grade E in 1 AL subject or 2 AS subjects, or equivalent.

2. be mature applicants who are 21 years of age and who have at least 3 years working experience will be considered.
* With effect from 2007, HKU SPACE recognises Grade E previously awarded for Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) (Grade C in the case of English Language (Syllabus A)) at the HKCEE as an acceptable alternative of Level 2 in these two subjects.
