  • Course Description

    The Postgraduage Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Innovations  programme  designed to develop and upgrade the knowledge, skills and mentality of the adult learner in Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation.

    The progrgramme also emphasizes on developing potential entrepreneurs with innovative business mindset and management solutions.

    Module: Introduction to Business and Social Entrepreneurship (offer in November 2011 intake)

    This module is an introduction to the concepts of entrepreneurship. Its contents cover factors that lead towards entrepreneurial success and the skills and behaviours necessary to be a successful international entrepreneur.  The module also develops students’ ability to conduct feasibility analysis and manage new ventures.

    • English, supplemented with Cantonese.

  • Programme Structure

     

    The programme will be taught in English supplemented with Chinese.  Lecture notes and teaching materials will be in English. Classes will be conducted mainly on weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.  All assessment will be in English. 

    The total contact hours are 201 hours.  The duration of the programme is estimated to be in the range of 12-18 months depending on the number of modules that the student opts to take within a semester. Students may choose to exit with the Postgraduate Certificate award upon completion of 3 core modules.

  • Entry Requirements

    Applicants should

    1. hold a bachelor degree awarded by a recognized university; OR
    2. hold a QF level 4 or 5 diploma awarded by a recognized institution, and have at least 5 years of work experience, including 3 years at the managerial or supervisory level; OR
    3. hold relevant and recognized professional qualifications, and have 3 years of work experience.

    Applicants with other qualifications and credentials will be considered on individual merits.
