The Professional Diploma in Marketing programme (Level One and Two) comprises of two levels of studies which may be completed within 20 months of part-time studies. Upon completion of Level One that comprises 6 modules, students will receive a Professional Certificate in Marketing award issued by HKU SPACE and recognized by HKIM. In addition, students will receive a professional award ‘Diploma in Marketing’ issued by HKIM.

The Level One programme aims to provide students with a foundation in marketing and its integration with other important functional business units such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Digital Marketing and Events Management. Students may also choose to progress into Level Two of the Professional Diploma in Marketing programme to complete the full programme and become an Affiliate Member of HKIM.

We offer three intakes each year in September, January and May.

Assessment and Award
Holders of this Professional Certificate in Marketing award can progress into the Professional Diploma in Marketing (Level 2) programme.
- Assessment is based on coursework (25%) and examinations (75%).
- Holders of the Professional Diploma in Marketing may apply for University of Hull’s BA(Hons) Marketing and Management programme.
- Holders of the Professional Diploma in Marketing qualify for full first year exemptions from the Curtin University BCom Marketing programmes.
- Holders of the Professional Diploma in Marketing may apply for University of Plymouth’s BSc(Hons) Business Management programme, BA (Hons) International Trade and Operations Management or BSc (Hons) International Supply Chain and Shipping Management programmes.
- Holders of the Professional Diploma in Marketing may apply for Edinburgh Napier University’s BA (Hons) in Festival and Event Management programme.

Applicants shall:

have gained in the HKALE Grade E in 2 subjects; or
-
have gained in the HKDSE Examination Level 2 in 5 subjects including English Language and 1 year of relevant work experience;or
-
have gained in the HKCEE Grade E in 4 subjects, and Level 2 in English Language or equivalent, and have 2 years of relevant work experience; or
-
be aged at least 21 or above with 3 years of relevant work experience.
Applicants with other equivalent qualifications and relevant work experience will be considered on individual merits.
