This Senior Executive Certificate in Institutional Integrity Management programme aims to equip participants with both professional knowledge and skills for strengthening the institutional integrity profile of their organizations (either public or private) and hence enhance their capabilities to safeguard their organizations against corruption and internal fraud.

 Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be able to:
  1. design and set up an integrity committee within his/her own institutional environment;
  2. formulate and manage institutional ethic policy and tailor-made staff code of ethics;
  3. formulate, manage and review annual institutional integrity action plan;  
  4. conduct random integrity checking on staff and on all new appointees;
  5. integrate education and training efforts in anti-corruption management;
  6. demonstrate abilities and competencies in establishing a complaint mechanism, proactive monitoring and investigation, knowledge & techniques in effective law enforcement in combating corruption and internal fraud

Programme Structure and Delivery
This programme is structured as a 9-day full-time of intensive residential study in Hong Kong.  The medium of instruction is English.  It consists of three integrated modules.  Prospective local participants may choose to enroll in any of the following modules.
  1. Institutional Framework for Controlling Corruption;
  2. Corruption and Fraud Prevention and Education;
  3. Detection and Investigation of Corrupt Practices and Fraud
Assessment and Award
The assessment is based on an individual integrated project report, which represents 100% of the overall grade mark of the programme.  A participant is required to pass the assessment and fulfill a minimum of 80% attendance requirement in order to be eligible for the Senior Executive Certificate award.

The minimum entry and admission requirements are detailed as below.  Applicants shall:
  1. hold a bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognized university or equivalent;
  2. have at least 5 years of supervisory and management level work experience; and
  3. be proficient in English language (For those graduated from institutions where English is not the medium of instruction, a written proof of English proficiency is required).
Applicants with other qualifications and substantial senior level work experience will be considered on individual merits.  Preference will be given to candidates who are middle to senior level executives in their organizations or are recommended by their respective employers.  All applicants are expected to be highly self-motivated and self-directed learners.  Final decisions concerning admission are made at the discretion of Admission Committee.

Both the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Canadian Certified General Accountants Association of Hong Kong have approved this Senior Executive Certificate programme for the purpose of compliance with CPD requirements under their CPD Schemes.  On successful completion of the programme, a participant is entitled to claim up to 15 CPD points in that CPD practice year if he/she is a member of the Law Society of Hong Kong and up to 60 CPD hours if he/she is a member of the Canadian Certified General Accountants Association of Hong Kong.

Enrolment Method

Applicants should complete and return the Application for Enrolment Form (SF 26) enclosing copies of (1) HKID card / passport; (2) Academic certificates; and (3) a recommendation letter from employers, together with a crossed cheque / bank draft or telegraphic transfer receipt (if applicable) of the application fee, made payable to “HKU SPACE”, to the following address: HKU SPACE (Attn: Miss Carmen Chan) Room 1109, 11/F., Fortress Tower, 250, King’s Road, North Point, Hong Kong.

Please note the followings:

1. Prospective local participants who want to enroll in any of the three individual modules should contact Miss Carmen Chan by email: carmen.chan@hkuspace.hku.hk or by phone: 2975-5685 for further details.
 
2. HKU SPACE reserves the right at any time to cancel / postpone the programme, change any syllabus / assessment arrangement, or to limit transfers between courses or choice of courses, if and when such changes or cancellations should become necessary.
 
Payment Method
1. CASH OR EPS
Course fees can be paid by cash or EPS at any HKU SPACE enrolment counters.
 
2. CHEQUE OR BANK DRAFT
Course fees can also be paid by crossed cheque or bank draft made payable to “HKU SPACE”. Please specify the programme title(s) for application and applicant’s name. You may either:
  • bring the completed form(s), together with the appropriate course or application fees in the form of a cheque, and any required supporting documents to any of the HKU SPACE enrolment centres;
  • or mail the above documents to any of the HKU SPACE enrolment centres, specifying “Course Application” on the envelope. HKU SPACE will not be responsible for any loss of payment sent by mail.
3. VISA/MASTERCARD
Applicants may also pay the course fee by VISA or MasterCard, including the “HKU SPACE MasterCard”, at any HKU SPACE enrolment centres. Holders of the HKU SPACE MasterCard can enjoy a 10-month interest-free instalment period for courses with a tuition fee worth a minimum of HK$2,000; however, the course applicant must also be the cardholder himself/herself. For enquiries, please contact our staff at any enrolment centres.

Notes:
  1. Fees paid are not refundable except under very exceptional circumstances (e.g. course cancellation due to insufficient enrolment), subject to the School’s discretion. In exceptional cases where a refund is approved, fees paid by cash, EPS, cheque or PPS (for online payment only) will normally be reimbursed by a cheque, and fees paid by credit card will normally be reimbursed to the payment cardholder’s credit card account.
  2. Fees and places on courses cannot be transferred from one applicant to another. Once accepted onto a course, the student may not change to another course without approval from HKU SPACE. A processing fee of HK$120 will be levied on approved transfers.
  3. Receipts will be issued for fees paid but HKU SPACE will not be responsible for any loss of receipt sent by mail.
  4. For additional copies of receipts, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope with a completed form and a crossed cheque for HK$30 per copy made payable to ‘HKU SPACE’. Such copies will only normally be issued at the end of a course.
