The SPACE General English Programme consists of multi-level general English courses covering all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. There are 6 levels with each of the levels becoming progressively more difficult:

The SPACE English Entrance Examination is a 90-minute written test. Applicants should be prepared to stay for approximately two hours.

Based on the Entrance Examination results, candidates will be offered a place at an appropriate level in the SPACE General English Programme. Candidates with performance below the level of the Foundation Course in General English may be advised to take the Essential English course before continuing with the six-level General English or other language skills development courses at HKU SPACE.
