Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutics
Since the return of Hong Kong to mainland China, Chinese medicine and its related industries have received increased attention. The licensing of Chinese medicine traders and registration of proprietary Chinese medicines have boosted public confidence and expectations of the industry in Hong Kong. In response to a growing need within the community, the Division of Chinese Medicine of the School offers Chinese Medicine and related pharmaceutical programmes, including full-time programmes for youths, part-time programmes for professionals, and short courses for interested individuals.
Our professional programmes include Advanced Diploma in Chinese Medicine Dispensing, Higher Diploma in Chinese Medicines and Advanced Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management in Chinese Medicine. Graduates can pursue a career in quality assurance or medical dispensation, or advance their studies through the programmes Bachelor in Chinese Medicine (Dispensing), co-hosted by Hubei University of Chinese Medicine, or Bachelor of Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine, co-hosted by the University of Hong Kong. Another featured programme, Basic Knowledge in Chinese Medicine, is the only Chinese medicine programme in Hong Kong in the Japanese language.
