Criminology & Law Enforcement
Maintaining Hong Kong’s reputation into the 21st century as one of the world’s safest cities requires effective management of crime at all levels, from prevention and detection to prosecution, adjudication, and sentencing, as well as correction and rehabilitation of offenders. Differentiation and specialisation offer considerable career opportunities in the fields of criminal justice and law enforcement, disciplinary services and security management, all with the common objective of maintaining law and order in society.
The School offers part-time programmes in criminal justice and law enforcement for those in related law enforcement agencies and those interested in a career or further studies in these fields. These programmes aim to equip participants with both the theoretical knowledge and technical skills necessary for trained professionals serving in the modern criminal justice system.
Our programmes also prepare students with a broad-based foundation in social sciences, giving them the potential to pursue higher-level studies in related disciplines.
