Food & Beverage
Food and drink are integral to our well-being socially, economically and physically. The School provides a series of part-time workshops and short courses on the subject of lifestyles and social etiquette, food and beverage operations and management, nutrition and food safety, as a prerequisite to advanced professional and academic courses. We offer courses to enhance individual appreciation of food and beverage which are essential in socialising at business and personal occasions. Our series of soft skills training range from the art of Chinese tea-tasting and coffee appreciation to whisky, beer and sake appreciation. There are also introductory courses that help individuals appreciate French and Italian cuisine, table wine and acquire a deeper knowledge of wine from professional sommeliers. Our Hospitality and Tourism Management Subject Group has designed a series of professional and business soft skills courses in catering, food and beverage operations and management. Through food nutrition and safety courses provided by the Food, Dietetics & Nutrition subject group, students of different backgrounds can achieve with various levels of certificate and advanced diploma, and ultimately enrol in bachelor and master courses through our collaboration with other internationally known universities.
