林超英先生
Mr Lam Chiu-ying was Director of the Hong Kong Observatory before retirement. He is currently chairman of the Hong Kong Countryside Foundation. He is also an honorary fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society, the Chartered Institute of Water and Environment Management, and the University of Hong Kong. He was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star in 2009.Mr Lam is a widely-respected bird-watcher, an expert conservationist and meteorologist in Hong Kong and Asia, as well as a fervent advocate of sustainable development. Mr Lam is a popular speaker giving lectures to a wide spectrum of audiences, ranging from students to professional bodies.He has served on numerous Government and voluntary bodies, including HKSAR Environmental Campaign Committee, Hong Kong Bird Watching Society, the Asian arm of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Hong Kong Meteorological Society, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.Mr Lam is a lifelong learner, and studied a number of HKU SPACE courses covering wide interest. He was a member of Alumni Council from 2013 - 17 and Foundation Committee from 2010 – 16. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Fellow in 2009.
