"Sustainability has been in trend in global economy since the past decades, which has offered lots of benchmarking opportunities in both public and private sectors. Though the industry in Hong Kong remains fairly infant at the moment, we should still explore ways to engage ourselves for a better future of our planet.
I highly recommend this course because this intensive programme provided me a quick glance on nearly all sustainability topics from a vast array of perspectives, such as international best practices, reporting framework, impact investment, branding, supply chain, community engagement etc. These skillsets are not only relevant to the commercial world, which are also useful to my work in public policy too.
Particularly, next year is going to be a critical time where climate change, Millennium Goals and post-2015 Development Agenda will be under the spotlight. That's why it is a right time to sign up for this course, in order to prepare yourself for the upcoming global challenges. In order to enrich our profiles with related knowledge in today's competitive job market, I believe this introductory course serves as a good career springboard to many recent graduates like me.
After the summer, I will be pursuing a two-year master in Environmental Policy at Sciences Po Paris, with minors in International Energy and Human Rights. I will continue my policy advocacy work in climate change, energy security, green finance and sustainability reporting in France. It would be great if I could meet some of you again during COP21 in Paris later this year.”
