Dr. Patrick Lam, PhD (Toronto); Assistant Vice President, Listing (IPO Vetting), Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Ltd (HKEX)

Dr. Patrick Lam is currently the Assistant Vice President of the listing department of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, responsible for the approval of the listing of biotech companies. Prior to his current position, he worked as an advisor to Deloitte and Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), focusing on life sciences, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and public health, providing expertise in strategy development, market entry and innovation, and in-depth research on the development of health technology. Dr. Lam received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. In 2004, he founded the Munc-Key Therapeutics to develop drugs for the treatment of diabetes. He has published scientific journals. In this way, he hopes to share the trend of health technology with everyone.

Synopsis:

Absenteeism represents a loss of more than $330 bn in China and Hong Kong. A major challenge for employers is finding the correlation between Corporate Wellbeing and employee productivity, and this is compounded by employees increasingly looking to feel valued and highly-engaged at work. It has become an imperative for corporate leaders to invest in a Corporate Wellbeing strategy backed by aggregated data-driven insights, automation, and in-time communication to reverse loss into productivity gains. In this seminar, we will explore the subject of Corporate Wellbeing and how tools in the digital era can help assist through workplace satisfaction and productivity.
