Beauty, Healthy Care & Rehabilitation
With emphasis on people-orientated and preventive medicine, Chinese medicine uses a holistic perspective to evaluate health and illness. The studies of beauty care, health maintenance and rehabilitation involve nutrition, exercise and entertainment, and even herbal remedies. These studies form a treasure trove of Chinese culture. The School offers a wide range of Chinese medicine programmes and courses on beauty, health care and rehabilitation in hopes of safeguarding this traditional wisdom and meeting the needs of contemporary Hong Kong society.
These practical courses are designed to equip the practitioners with necessary skills for career advancement or for those who simply use the knowledge for family health care.
This is a course designed to introduce the general public to two types of meditation that are practiced widely nowadays, namely the Yogic and the Buddhist style. The practice of Yogic meditation involves a focus on concentration, leading to a calm, peaceful and pleasant life free from anxiety, worry and stress.
