The programme aims to:

1. Nurture entrepreneurial talents with the right mindsets and skillsets in creating and sustaining successful start-up business by transforming creative ideas into innovative products;

2. Enable students to understand critical elements in formulating a successful start-up business and assess supporting resources and available funding to build, develop, and sustain new business ventures; and

3. Equip students with a set of methodologies to effectively engage financial investors, key customers, and strategic partners in the early stage of start-up development.

Founder & CEO of AcesoBee Limited

Albert is the founder of AcesoBee (Cyberport Incubation Graduate), the creator of acesome,  a portable and affordable personal Personal Care Plan (PCP) and Point of Care (POC) system transform from the bedside nursing care plan used in Hospital.

A self-made entrepreneur in the eHealth and HealthTech industry, Albert started out as a Healthcare Solutions Specialist at IBM China / Hong Kong., he successfully founded his first business venture Healthbasic.com and was acquired by Quality Healthcare in 2001.

Albert holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science and an MBA degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

區恩庭先生 - 艾草蜂有限公司創始人

區先生現開發醫護通系統是把醫院中使用的床邊護理計劃普及化。區先生是從使醫療及健康科技企業家。區先生曾工作於國際商業機器公司中國/香港的醫療及健康科技部門為醫療解決方案專家。 1999年,區先生首次創業並創辦了當時香港第一的醫療保健網站和香港第二大醫療門診解決方案的軟件供應商的 HealthBasic.com 。 Healthbasic.com 並在2001年被香港上市的卓健醫療服務有限公司和eHealthcareAsia 全面收購。

General Manager, GoAnimate

Billy is currently the General Manager (Asia) of GoAnimate, a US-based company that developed a do-it-yourself (DIY) animation platform to help businesses create amazing animated videos quickly and easily. Its technology has also won a number of industry awards, including four HK ICT awards and one APICTA award. Billy is a business professional with over 15 years of experience running HK listed companies and emerging start-ups. He holds a MBA from the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo. He is also a finance professional with a number of accounting designations.

鍾先生目前是GoAnimate Inc的總經理,GoAnimate是一家美國公司,自身開發了一個動畫平台,幫助企業快速和輕鬆地製作動畫視頻。其技術還獲得了多項行業獎項,包括四項香港ICT獎項和一項APICTA獎項。鍾先生是一位專業人士,擁有超過15年經營香港上市公司和初創企業的經驗。他擁有University of Toronto的工商管理碩士學位和University of Waterloo的學士學位。他還是一名會計專業人員和財務專業人士,擁有多項會計專業資格。

Applicants shall hold:

(i) a bachelor's degree awarded by a recognized university or equivalent;


(ii) an Associate Degree / a Higher Diploma or equivalent, and have at least 2 years of work experience.

Applicants with other qualifications and substantial senior work experience will be considered on individual merit.

Enrolment Method

Complete and return the application form in person to HKU SPACE Enrolment Centre. For venue, please refer to our HKU SPACE website at http://hkuspace.hku.hk/learning-centre. The application must be accompanied with:

a) A non-refundable application fee of HKD150 (Cheque should be crossed and made payable to "HKU SPACE") to be submitted with the application for enrollment. The application fee will be used to cover the cost of processing and is non-refundable.

b) Photocopies of HKID card, relevant certificates/transcripts, and testimonials or other docmentary proof of the applicant's working experience. (Please bring original certificates/official transcripts and testimonials/documentary proof of working experience for certification at HKU SPACE Centres).

Payment Method
1. Cash or EPS

Cash or EPS are accepted at any HKU SPACE Enrolment Centres.

2. Cheque or bank draft

Course fees can also be paid by crossed cheque or bank draft made payable to “HKU SPACE”. Please write the programme title(s)  and the applicant’s name on the back of the cheque. You may either:

  • in person by submitting the payment, completed form(s), and required supporting documents to any of our enrolment centres; or
  • by mailing the above documents to any of our enrolment centres, specifying “Course Application” on the envelope. 
3. VISA/MasterCard

Course applicants, who are holders of HKU SPACE Mastercard, can enjoy a 10-month interest-free instalment period for courses of HK$2,000 and over. For enquiries, please contact our enrolment centres.

4. Online payment

Online payment for short courses (first come, first served) and selected award-bearing programmes is available using PPS, VISA or Mastercard. Please refer to the Online Services page on the School website.


  1. For general and short courses, applicants may be required to pay the course fee in cash or by EPS, Visa or Mastercard if the course is to start shortly.
  2. Fees paid are not refundable except under very exceptional circumstances (e.g. course cancellation due to insufficient enrolment), subject to the School’s discretion. In exceptional cases where a refund is approved, fees paid by cash, EPS, cheque or online PPS will be reimbursed by a cheque; fees paid by credit card will be reimbursed to credit card account used for payment.
  3. In addition to the published fees, there may be additional costs associated with individual programmes. Please refer to the relevant course brochures or direct any enquiries to the relevant programme teams for details.
  4. Fees and places on courses are not transferrable. Once accepted onto a course, the student may not change to another course without approval from HKU SPACE. A processing fee of HK$120 will be levied on each approved transfer.
  5. HKU SPACE will not be responsible for any loss of payment, receipt, or personal information sent by mail.
  6. For additional copies of receipts, please submit a completed form, a sufficiently stamped and self-addressed envelope, and a crossed cheque for HK$30 per copy made payable to ‘HKU SPACE’ to any of our enrolment centres. Such copies will normally be issued at the end of a course.
