ArtTech is a blue ocean that poses great potential for Hong Kong to flourish and thrive in the global art scene.  In this workshop, we will explore the disruptions of ArtTech from the perspective of business innovation and the impact of Digital Art and NFT on the art markets.

Tutors 

Mr Heiman Ng

Heiman is a senior art advisor with more than 10 years of experience in art consulting, curating, and training in Greater China. Prior to joining Digital Art Fair as the Director and Head of Business Development, he was the Course Leader of Christie’s Education, Asia, and Head of Press of Bonhams.

He is currently teaching as a part-time Lecturer in The University of Hong Kong (Programme: Global Creative Industries) and HKU SPACE (Programme: Executive Workshop “Innovation in ArtTech and NFT”) respectively. He is also part of the Academic Advisory Board of the Sociology Department of Hong Kong Shue Yan University.

 

Dr Colin Lee

Dr Colin Lee Chi Kin is a blockchain industry analyst, organizer of Ethereum South and Southeast Asia, founder of the Blockchain Industry Analyst Association, holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics , Doctoral Degree in financial Management from European University, Digital Transformation qualification at Cambridge University, UK .

Dr Lee had published research papers on the "contemporary economy" and "China's strategic emerging industries" .  He was appointed Lecturer on the advanced blockchain training course to the CEIBS Business Review and China Europe International Business School. He was also invited to be guest lecturer at the Peking University Shenzhen Research Institute SME Growth Index.  In 2018, Dr Lee led the panel of experts for the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China and wrote the syllabus and content of China's continuing engineering education blockchain technology application management post curriculum. 

Dr Lee established Asia's first digital transformation professional service (Digital BuildRise) in 2019 to make various new technology financial projects fully process compliance. He is currently the director of digital economy and transformation of listed company, and his leadership team provides digital transformation solutions for listed companies in Asia.  His professional experience also include regional manager of the insurance group, the founder of the family office & family fund, the hotel, real estate development investor, and the founder of the Fintech & Medical System Technology company. 

 

Dr Irene Lau

Dr Irene Lau is a part-time lecturer of HKU SPACE.  She teaches marketing in the Global MBA programme of the University of London and has been the dissertation supervisor for MA Arts and Cultural Enterprise of the University of Arts London.  She was the Deputy Director of Senior Executive Programme in the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Hong Kong and has over 20 years of experience in executive education.

Dr Lau is currently the Chairman of the Central and Western District Association for Culture and Arts.  She holds professional qualifications as the Fellow of The International Institute of Management (FIIM), Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS, FCS) and Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Directors (HKIoD).  She was graduated from The University of Cambridge with research focus on business sustainability.

1. Cash, EPS, WeChat Pay Or Alipay

Course fees can be paid by cash, EPS, WeChat Pay or Alipay at any HKU SPACE Enrolment Centres.

2. Cheque Or Bank draft

Course fees can also be paid by crossed cheque or bank draft made payable to “HKU SPACE”. Please specify the programme title(s) for application and the applicant’s name.. You may either:

  • bring the completed form(s), together with the appropriate course or application fees in the form of a cheque, and any required supporting documents to any of the HKU SPACE enrolment centres;
  • or mail the above documents to any of the HKU SPACE Enrolment Centres, specifying  “Course Application” on the envelope.  HKU SPACE will not be responsible for any loss of payment sent by mail.
3. VISA/Mastercard

Applicants may also pay the course fee by VISA or Mastercard, including the “HKU SPACE Mastercard”, at any HKU SPACE enrolment centres. Holders of the HKU SPACE Mastercard can enjoy a 10-month interest-free instalment period for courses with a tuition fee worth a minimum of HK$2,000; however, the course applicant must also be the cardholder himself/herself. For enquiries, please contact our staff at any enrolment centres.

4. Online Payment

Online application / enrolment is offered for most open admission courses (course enrolled on first come, first served basis) and selected award-bearing programmes. Application fees and course fees of these programmes/courses can be settled by using "PPS by Internet" (not available via mobile phones), VISA or Mastercard. In addition to the aforesaid online payment channels, continuing students of award-bearing programmes, if their programmes offer online service, may also pay their course fees by Online WeChat Pay, Online Alipay and Faster Payment System (FPS). Please refer to Enrolment Methods - Online Enrolment  for details.

Notes

  • If the programme/course is starting within five working days, application by post is not recommended to avoid any delays. Applicants are advised to enrol in person at HKU SPACE Enrolement Centres and avoid making cheque payment under this circustance.
  • Fees paid are not refundable except under very exceptional circumstances (e.g. course cancellation due to insufficient enrolment), subject to the School’s discretion. In exceptional cases where a refund is approved, fees paid by cash, EPS, WeChat Pay, Alipay, cheque or PPS (for online payment only) will normally be reimbursed by a cheque, and fees paid by credit card will normally be reimbursed to the payment cardholder's credit card account.
  • In addition to the published fees, there may be additional costs associated with individual programmes. Please refer to the relevant course brochures or direct any enquiries to the relevant programme team for details.
  • Fees and places on courses cannot be transferrable from one applicant to another. Once accepted onto a course, the student may not change to another course without approval from HKU SPACE. A processing fee of HK$120 will be levied on each approved transfer.
  • Receipts will be issued for fees paid but HKU SPACE will not be repsonsible for any loss of receipt sent by mail.
  • For payment certification, please submit a completed form, a sufficiently stamped and self-addressed envelope, and a crossed cheque for HK$30 per copy made payable to "HKU SPACE" to any of our enrolment centres.
