HKU SPACE Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony

HKU SPACE has served Hong Kong for over 50 years, and owes its achievements to the work of dedicated professionals hailing from a wide array of fields. To show our gratitude to those closely associated with the School and lifelong learning, the School has established the HKU SPACE Honorary Fellowship this year.

The first HKU SPACE Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony will be held on Friday, 28 November at Rayson Huang Theatre in the University of Hong Kong, and presided over by Professor Edward Chen Kwan-yiu, the Chairman of HKU SPACE Board of Directors.

Honorary fellowships will be conferred upon three distinguished people, each highly regarded in their respective fields: Dr Darwin Chen, Dr Maria Lee and Mr Tony Kwok.

The Board of Directors is highly supportive of the establishment of the HKU SPACE Honorary Fellowship. According to the Chairman of the Board, Professor Edward Chen, "Lifelong learning requires coordinating efforts in a number of areas, encompasses continuing education, adult education and professional education. On the part of the School, the conferring of an honorary fellowship is distinct from those traditionally awarded by a university fellowship."

Director Professor Lee Chack-fan emphasises how much the School’s present achievements owe to the contributions of distinguished professionals over the School’s long history which is more than 50 years. In recognition of those who have contributed to the School and to continuing education, these honorary fellowships have been established.
