Finance and Business, Mediation, and Human Resources Management |

The School introduces several finance and business award bearing and also short courses this spring. These encompass a variety of subjects including tourism and event management, strategic marketing, applied business administration, business administration, finance, corporate accounting, investment strategy, etc. In addition, we also offer in collaboration with Heriot-Watt University preparatory courses for an MBA programme.
As there is an increasing demand for mediation services, the School is launching several courses to meet the needs of the community. The School will also offer courses for the development of personal potential, human resources management, and other courses of interest. |

Climbing up the Professional Ladder |

In order to equip students to climb up the professional ladder, the School provides a series of new programmes for professionals from various industries. There are courses in public orders designed for people from disciplinary forces, as well as courses in gerontology offered to nursing and healthcare professionals. In addition, there are programmes to help people attain professional qualifications to become master sommeliers, coaches, surveyor, NLP practitioners and corporate treasurers. These trainings equip students to excel in their respective professions. |

As information technology is rapidly adopted and implemented in many areas, service delivery through electronic means is becoming common in a variety of industries. Hence, the School has offered industry-specific courses. Innovative techniques will be taught in the e-Tourism course with an emphasis on their application in the tourism and hospitality businesses. Several new courses are specifically designed to hone the skills of IT professionals in healthcare environments. Courses offered include network theory and practice, design, and security, etc.

Living in a vibrant metropolitan city like Hong Kong fosters a global outlook. Mastering a foreign language is almost essential in such a place. In addition to English, French, German, Italian, Greek and Japanese language courses, we also offer new courses in Tibetan, Portuguese, Spanish and the Arabic languages. A series of courses about teaching English as a second language are designed to strengthen the English teaching quality so as to improve their students’ English standard. In addition, courses about early education teaching are also provided to help people interested in developing a career in early education. |

Literature, Culture and Art |

In this spring, the School brings to the public a wide array of Chinese, Western and Islamic literary, cultural and art courses. The Chinese courses include classical literature such as the Analects (Lunyu), Yi Jing, Zuo's Biography of the Spring and Autumn Annals (Zhouzhuan), and also appreciation and writing of Chinese poems. One course in particular will teach students how to explore the beauty of Chinese ink painting. The western literature and culture series will introduce English and American literature, poets and novelists, contemporary drama, French movies, and western aesthetics, etc. As today Muslims account for one-fourth of the world’s population, the Islamic culture course will help the community understand Muslims better.

Library and Archival Studies |

The School has designed a series of programmes for library and information professionals to enhance their skills in coding, cataloguing, data conversion, as well as Chinese and English writing skills in the context of the library information management field. Additional archival studies include weeding of archival information, basics of records management, establishing a records management system, and the principles and methods of setting up archives. Workshops on the principles of archival appraisal and acquisition, arrangement and description, and electronic record management will also be held in this spring.

Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments have always been simple, affordable and with different therapeutic effects if used in appropriate ways. The School��s health maintenance series introduce special therapies such as skin scraping, cupping, blood-pricking, heat therapy, reflexology, tui-na, and also alternative therapies including aromatherapy, Indian head massage and foot reflexology massage plus acupuncture for common difficult illnesses.
