Moving with the times in the new normal
COVID -19 has brought many changes and challenges to the world, so how can we break with the past and establish a new normal to overcome these challenges? The Alumni Week in November, themed as “The New Normal”, will showcase a number of health-related new normals, as well as taking a look at the future prospects of the real estate market.
Under the new normal, facemasks and alcohol handrubs have become necessities for all. We also now spend more time cooped up at home both working and learning, and this can lead to incorrect sitting postures and spinal problems. Therefore, this is an ideal time to learn from Dr Ko Wing-man, a former Secretary for Food and Health, who will share techniques on how to fight against the virus from a perspective of both Chinese and Western medicine, and how to accept the “new normal” of co-existing with it.
COVID-19 has also created huge challenges for the global economy and the real estate market. Mr Anthony Kwok, Director (Professional Development) of the Centaline Group, will explain how the epidemic has affected the market with market trend analyses, so that you can be better-informed to purchase or invest in property.
When the new normal has become the current normal, how will our lives be? Mr Shum Yat-fei, a senior current affairs commentator, will predict and analyse the year of 2021 from a classic Chinese “Yijing” perspective, together with Indian, Western and alien viewpoints. Hopefully, his prophesies will help us welcome in a new normal year in a positive spirit.
Register for Alumni Week NOW and get prepared for the new normal.
