Alumni Week 2022 – What’s new, what’s challenging and how to cope

After nearly three years of various degrees of lockdowns, Hong Kong’s quarantine measurements have just been eased, showing Hong Kong is ready to re-connect with the rest of the world. To get you prepared for that, Alumni Week 2022 has prepared a few talks by different experts on investment strategies for the stock market in Q4 and 2023, ways of managing mental health, and new trends in digital assets.

Global Economic Prospect for 2023

8 November (Tue) 7pm

The global recession in Europe, the US and emerging markets; stagflation and inflation risks; the war in Ukraine and COVID-19 have all created more complications than any stock market crash in the past. Mr Paul Pong, Managing Director of Pegasus Fund Managers, will analyse investment strategies and opportunities in this current global situation and share tips on managing the risk factors.

Ways to take care of your mental health

18 November (Fri) 7pm

At any given moment, an estimated 1 in 7 people in Hong Kong are experiencing some kind of mental disorder. Most of them may not realise it or seek professional help. However, prevention and treatment are essential for mental health before it is too late. Dr Sylvia Chen, a registered psychiatrist, will share her professional knowledge and tips on managing negative emotions and stress.

NFT Trends 2023

25 November (Fri) 7pm

Among the many different kinds of digital assets, NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) have been one of the most topical issues in Hong Kong recently. So, what are they and what should people consider before investing in them? What are the risks? Mr Alex Au, the Co-Founder of the Hong Kong Digital Asset Society, will share his views on the trends for various digital assets and the investment strategies for each.

Also, a day trip to the Hong Kong Geopark North-East Wonder, Lai Chi Wo and Crooked Island has been arranged for you to recharge yourself.

The Alumni Week 2022 talks will be conducted both online and offline. Register NOW to expand your knowledge, find out the trends after the pandemic and the challenges that lie ahead you.
