Inaugural GBA Education Conference – Innovation Education and Lifelong Learning
In order to help support the government in promoting collaborative development in higher education between Hong Kong and the Mainland and strengthen the advantages of cooperation, HKU SPACE will host the Inaugural GBA Education Conference. on 20 June 2024 at 2/F, Philip K.H. Wong Theatre, The University of Hong Kong's Cheng Yu Tung Tower.
Dr Choi Yuk Lin, JP, Secretary for Education, and Professor Ian Holliday, Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) of The University of Hong Kong and Chairman of the Board of Directors of HKU SPACE will give the opening addresses.
The conference will explore the latest trends in innovation, lifelong learning, and professional advancement. It also aims to network with academia, business leaders, and government to accelerate Hong Kong's integration into the dynamic Greater Bay Area (GBA) ecosystem and strengthen Hong Kong's reputation as a global hub for talent development.
Experts and scholars from The University of Hong Kong, Peking University and the Macau University of Science and Technology will host the keynote speeches.
Professor Yang Rui, Dean, Chair of Education, Faculty of Education, HKU will discuss “Education in an Era of Turbulence: Tradition and Transformation”; Professor Chen Dong Min, Emeritus Professor, Peking University and Executive Director, Guangdong Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory will talk on “Fostering Innovative & Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Skills in Lifelong Learning”; and Professor Aliana Leong Man Wai, Associate Vice President (International Affairs), and Dean, School of Liberal Arts, Macau University of Science and Technology will consider the “The Redevelopment of Human Resources After the Impact of the Epidemic Series”.
Distinguished guest speakers have also been invited to participate in a round table discussion on "Innovation Education and Lifelong Learning in the Greater Bay Area (GBA)”.

首屆大灣區教育論壇 - 創新教育與終身學習
為配合政府推動香港與內地高等教育協同發展，加強合作優勢互補， 香港大學專業進修學院特別於2024年6月20日，假香港大學鄭裕彤教學樓二樓黃乾亨講堂，舉行首屆大灣區教育論壇。當天邀得中華人民共和國香港特別行政區政府教育局局長蔡若蓮博士, JP及香港大學副校長、香港大學專業進修學院董事局主席何立仁教授致歡迎辭。
本次論壇主題為「創新教育與終身學習」，主旨演講包括：香港大學教育學院院長楊銳教授主講的「動盪時代中的教育」；北京大學講席教授、廣東省松山湖材料實驗室常務副主任陳東敏教授的「塑造當代創新創業人才的终身教育體系」；以及澳門科技大學協理副校長、博雅學院院長梁文慧教授的「風險社會衝擊後人力資源再發展研究」。另外，亦邀得不同學者進行「大灣區教育創新與終身學習」的圓桌討論，分享精闢見解。
