Language does not only help us interact with people from the four corners of the world, it also gives us a better understanding of different cultures. At the workplace, the ability to communicate in different languages helps us participate in meetings, win negotiations, establish new networks, strengthen business relationships and heightens business performance. In the social context, knowledge of foreign languages opens the door to a world of new friends, new cultures and new wonders in life.

HKU SPACE offers a wide range of part-time language courses at various levels, from beginner to advanced. Our main language areas are English (Business English and General English), European (Spanish, French, German and Italian), Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). Most of our courses are award-bearing and Continuing Education Fund (CEF) reimbursable.
Other language short courses are also offered, such as Arabic, Greek, Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Indonesian, Nepali, Punjabi, Urdu and Vietnamese.
