All Hong Kong people have the same wish for a happy living and working life. Having dinner with the family each night, and talking to each other are already the greatest moments. The unsung heroes behind this wish are housing management professionals.
Dr Edward Lee is a graduate and a teacher for HKU SPACE housing management programmes. He has worked in the Hong Kong Housing Department since 1980. In his first position to serve the Lok Fu Estate, he loves chatting with residents to better understand their needs and difficulties. He also worked at the Lek Yuen Estate, where the buildings are named for wealth, affluence, honour, happiness, blessing, luck, and longevity, so all residents can share these seven traditional advantages.

The programme is recognized as the Specified Academic Qualification for PMP (Tier 1) Licence by the PMSA, which provides a professional qualification in housing management. It provides a firm grounding in the theory and practice of housing management. The standard and content of the programme and its examination are designed to be the equivalent of the Professional Qualification of the Chartered Institute of Housing, Asian Pacific Branch and the Hong Kong Institute of Housing.

This programme aims to provide learners with a wide range of conceptual and practical knowledge and skills necessary in today's property management environments to meet their individual needs for career development as well as pursuit of higher-level professional housing education. This programme also serves as the bridging course for the study of the Professional Diploma in Housing Management.

This 30-hour Certificate is designed for those who have secured Level 2 in the Unit of Competency (UoC) standards of the Customer Services category. Through this programme, students can acquire knowledge equivalent to Level 3's SCS standards including knowledge on daily Customer Services duties, manpower arrangement on owners' meeting, emergency case handling, procurement arrangement, assessing data for insurance claims, site inspection knowledge in Customer Services category.
