Mr Milton Poon

Mr Milton Poon has obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in French and European Studies at Hong Kong University. He has also attained the Diploma in French language studies (Diplôme d'université Français Langue Étrangère) at Stendhal University in France. Mr. Poon has been a French instructor at HKU SPACE since 2014. With his years of teaching experience and interactive lessons, Mr. Poon often receives positive feedback from his students.

More than 300 million people speak French on the five continents around the world. The OIF, an international organization of French-speaking countries, comprises 88 member States and governments. French is a working language and an official language of the United Nations, the European Union, UNESCO, NATO, the International Olympic Committee and many other French companies around the world. Besides, French was used by famous philosophers at universal level to advocate ideas during the Enlightenment period in the 18th century. The language of Victor Hugo and Molière offers access to great works of literature in the original French, as well as films and songs. Learning French does not only help you explore the magnificent chateaux that line the Loire River but also allows you to travel or study in countries such as Canada, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium, where French is an official language.
