HKU SPACE students and alumni achieved excellent results at the inaugural Korean Consul General Cup Speech Contest, an open competition organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korean in Hong Kong, on 8 June 2017.

Mr. Tso Ka-ming Leonard, currently a student of the School’s Diploma in Korean programme, became the Champion of the competition while Ms. Tse Sze Man, another Diploma in Korean student and Ms. Leung Hoi Ching, a graduate of HKU SPACE Community College Associate of Arts (Korean Studies theme) programme, were joint second runner-ups. Of the top five participants of the competition, three have honed their Korean language skills at the School.

While Ms. Tse and Ms. Leung were awarded return air tickets to Korea, Mr. Tso received a cash prize and will represent Hong Kong at the 22nd World Korean Speech Contest, to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Dehli, India in July this year.

We offer our heartiest congratulations to the three students and we wish them all their best in their future studies.
