This course explores how our thoughts, attitudes, emotions and perceptions influence how people make decisions when they buy. It provides an opportunity to gain a better scientific understanding of cognitive, affective and behavioural responses to products and services from a consumer perspective, including the influence of technological, economic, societal and environmental concerns.
 

Psychology is the study of human’s behaviour, performance, and mental operations. It also refers to the application of the knowledge, which can be used to understand social phenomenon, treat mental health problems, and improve education, employment, and relationships, etc. The subject lies at the intersection of applied, educational, and theoretical science.
 
The objectives of this short course are (1) to introduce participants to the field of psychology; (2) to describe how various psychological approaches contribute to our understanding of everyday life settings; and (3) to apply the knowledge from these studies to our own personal and professional lives.

Occupational Health Psychology, also known as OHP, is an interdisciplinary study in the field of psychology where much of the emphasis is placed on improving the safety and well-being of employees in the workplace through application of psychotherapeutic principles and behavioral change. OHP can help the employee address specific emotional or work-related wellness issues. The purpose of this short course is to provide participants with opportunities to become more aware of and to understand the concepts of occupational health psychology in the Hong Kong contexts.

由資深輔導導師帶領， 本課程透過系統化介紹輔導的基礎理論與實務操作。課程內容涵蓋溝通與人際互動技巧、輔導專業倫理、個體發展議題、基本輔導技巧、評估方法，以及各類輔導取向與治療模式，使學生能建立初步的輔導知識與實務能力。協助個人、家庭及團體建立更深層的連繫與互相支持。

本课程将介绍一些心理学的理论和应用，让学员对心理学有初步入门认识。内容包括知觉与感知性格发展和评估、情绪、动机、社会性行为、压力及处理、和异常行为等。

异常心理学乃心理学范畴内众多分支中重要的一环。随着科学化的研究及临床的体验，我们对异常行为有更深入的了解和认识，而『异常』的涵义也随文明的演进而改变。
 

【正向心理学】是一门研究人类优点和发挥个人潜能的科学。 对比“缺陷为本 deficit-based”以修正缺点的模式，本课程会采用“优势为本 abundant-based”的积极模式鼓励学员用乐观的视角、想法和行为经营自己幸福快乐和有意义的人生。  本课程适合对正向心理学感兴趣的初学者、想发掘自己优势长处增强自信的探索者、想积极构建“更好自己” 和 改善人际关系的实践者。课程设计以自我探索和修炼为主，学习内容会用轻松互动的方式去了解相关理论和效能研究。
