本课程的对象为西班牙语初学者或对西班牙语只有初步认识的学员。它涵盖了一系列日常生活的主题和情境，发展学员的口语、听力、阅读和写作四种技能，配合相应的语法、词汇和发音练习。在课程结束时，学生应能理解并使用基本的日常短语来介绍自己，提出并回答有关个人基本资讯的问题，以及处理一般日常生活情况的情景，例如购物、外出用餐、谈论他们的工作、家庭和兴趣等。
 

本课程涵盖欧洲语言共同参考架构（CEFR）A1等级的内容。

The programme is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform translation work across various settings and contexts. The primary objective is to instill a sense of confidence and competence in students, enabling them to do translation work at a level that closely mirrors professional standards. This will be achieved through practical exercises that simulate real-world translation scenarios, including assessing translation works done by artificial intelligence. Students are encouraged to apply the linguistic and cultural concepts they have learned throughout the programme to practical tasks, including the final Translation Project module.
 
In addition to providing students with practical training, the programme also lays a solid foundation for further academic pursuits. It prepares students for higher qualifications by providing them with a comprehensive understanding of translation theories and methodologies.

This programme provides systematic training in translation for those who already have degree or equivalent qualifications. It aims at giving students the confidence and competence to deal with translation work at a close to professional level in different settings and contexts. Students should be able to apply the linguistic and cultural concepts learned to the practical tasks of translation and make improvements in translations done by people and/or artificial intelligence after completion of the programme.
 

The programme also provides a solid foundation for those who plan to study for a higher qualification in translation in the future: holders of the Postgraduate Certificate in Translation can articulate to Postgraduate Diploma in Translation with exemption from the first five modules of the Postgraduate Diploma in Translation programme offered by HKU SPACE.

更好地掌握商务英语文法、词汇、聆听、阅读、写作和交谈方式能提升学员的的信心，让他们在完成课程后进一步发展至更高水平的商务英语运用技巧。本课程针对需要加强入门英语水平的专业人士，以提高他们在以英语为主要沟通语言的工作场所中的表现。

本课程旨在向学员介绍阿拉伯文化的基本要素和伊斯兰教在中东国家的角色，并使学员掌握阿拉伯语的最基础知识，包括问候和自我介绍，但不包括书写系统。此外，本课程也会澄清一些伊斯兰教的核心价值和伦理观念，让学员对美国/西方国家和中东国家在沟通模式上的文化差异加强认识。
 
於本课程中，学员将掌握到阿拉伯世界的简要地理资讯、历史背景、当中的文化多样性和地域差异。学员将透过讨论和案例研究来探索伊斯兰教，从不同的观点去分析一些常见的误解和固有思想。除理论及知识层面外，学员还会实地参观九龙清真寺，以巩固所学。
 

本课程为有兴趣学习普通话的人士开设。主要学习汉语拼音及普通话的发音规则和方法；掌握普通话听、说、读的基本功；了解广东话与普通话在词汇和语法方面的差异；学会用普通话进行日常生活简单会话。「普通话基础证书」和「普通话证书(中级)」是循序渐进的系列课程，系统地介绍普通话在语音、词滙和语法方面的特点，培养学员的听说能力。

2. develop skills and techniques required by library assistants in identification, acquisition, storage, organization, use and
circulation of information;
3. identify various application of information technologies in library services;
4. evaluate various categories of information resources, print or electronic for the provision of information service;

 

本课程为有兴趣提高普通话水平的人士开设。内容包括巩固普通话基础知识，注重聆听和朗读训练，并将听、说、读相结合，让学员在普通话语境中练习，在应用中提高；加强朗读和命题说话训练，爲参加国家语委普通话水平测试做准备。

 本课程以聆听、朗读为语言输入，以语境传意练习为主体，听、说、读结合，让学员在语境中练习，在应用中提高。

This programme can be taken upon successful completion of the Certificate in Italian (Upper Intermediate) or an equivalent programme of 350-370 hours. Students will practise speaking skills, expressing opinions on culture, sport, food & drink, current affairs, local events, holidays & the world today. They will read and react to authentic texts, making comments in both the spoken and written forms. Students will also listen to songs and recordings of native speakers such as public announcements and detailed instructions.

By the end of the programme, students should be able to talk about various topics in a more detailed and fluent way , write different types of texts regarding more abstract and cultural matters, summarise the main ideas when listening to clear speeches or reading a wide range of texts.

Pronunciation and Fluency 2 是 Pronunciation and Fluency 1的后续选修科目。本科目让学生进一步练习英语发音和流利程度的技能。只要他们了解英语音素表，本科目也适合新学生。
