香港特区政府推出的十大建设计划及创新科技产业发展,促进了工程项目的发展,市场对工程人才需求若渴。为配合社会发展,除基层工程人员须具备相当的专门技能外,工程专业人才亦须具备不同的专门知识,以及拥有与时并进的管理技能。因此,本学院开办了不同程度的工程学课程,藉此让学员吸收最新工程知识、技能,从而灵活运用於工作中,提升竞争力。

Graduates will be well-prepared to contribute to the efficient operation and maintenance of healthcare facilities, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
Intended Learning Outcomes
On completion of the programme, students should be able to:
- Develop and establish a knowledge base in hospital engineering;
- Apply engineering practices to effectively, operate, maintain and repair healthcare facilities, ensuring their optimal functionality and safety;
- Apply knowledge acquired to analyse problems in healthcare facilities;
- Discuss and apply safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory compliance specific to hospital environments;
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless facility operations.
This programme aims to enhance students’ comprehension of fundamental concepts, principles, and theories in computer & information security, which has been spurred by the pervasive use of computer-based applications such as information systems, databases, and computer programming. Students are also given an understanding of computer system and architecture, access control mechanisms, cryptography algorithms, software security, physical security, security management and risk management as well as computer forensics.
