Class Details

The 15-hour course comprises four parts:

Part 1 (Sessions 1 and 2) Online via ZOOM*
20 May Monday and 23 May Thursday 6.00 – 9.00 pm

In this part, students learn the basics of public speaking in English (rhythm, emphasis, good openings, rhetorical techniques, use of visual aids, audience-engaging techniques, etc.). In addition, students will formally introduce themselves, analyze successful cases, choose and tell stories that are suitable for themselves, gain praise from the audience, and fit the theme, as well as try formal and informal speeches, and practice them repeatedly to achieve success.

Part 2 (Session 3) Online via ZOOM*
25 May Saturday 10.00 am – 1.00 pm

The Technical Trainer will give you advice on uploading preliminary audition videos. This section is designed to help contestants present themselves at their best, confidently and successfully.  At the same time, your teacher will continue to help you build your content and write your script for the video production.

Part 3 (Session 4) Online roleplay practice via ZOOM*
29 June Saturday 10.00 am – 1.00 pm

This part focuses on reading skill development, comprehension and role play assimilating the final competition. Students role-play to retell the stories of characters from selected books. Through participation in the third part, all contestants, whether entering the finals or not, will have the opportunity to interact with classmates and teachers in English. This is a great opportunity to relax during the summer vacation/after exams and learn English through competitive activities.
