Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology is an innovative tool to generate intelligent three-dimensional digital representation of a building from its inception to construction then completion and beyond.  It allows for the Architectural Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry’s stakeholders; developers, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and facility managers to simultaneously share, amend and access the building’s physical and functional information on a building project.

Targeted for architects and design professionals, the lectures will provide the participants insights into the history and developments of DPRK's architecture, as well as, the socio-economical and historic factors behind the current status of architectural design and construction practices in DPRK. The lectures are followed with an architecture tour to DPRK. While in DPRK, the participants will have a chance to visit the State's architecture institute, gain insight into their construction process, and have an opportunity to see and/or visit a variety of new and old Communist buildings of great value that are not easily accessible to outsiders

Urban Sketching, where artist practices on-location sketching, is a new worldwide phenomenon and growing rapidly. Students will be introduced to the art of Urban Sketching with techniques to help them adapt to this wonderful life-long hobby. Students will also learn the basics of capturing a view on-location, methods to approach a sketch and ways to have fun with the sketching technique.

This course focuses on drawing from the observation of buildings, architectural space and scenery. It is intended for students of all levels to develop and/or refine skills and techniques for recording the built environment and to be able to sketch freely in any context. Emphasis is placed on architectural freehand sketching/drafting technique, drawing composition, proportion, and perspective. We will also explore the art of urban sketching with field practice and become an urban sketcher.

假如你對建築模型製作感興趣,本課程正是不二之選。課程內容包括:簡介利用板材(咭紙或木材)製作建築模型的方法,認識各種模型製作技巧以展示真實建築效果和模型顏色運用,都是課程的教學重點。學生將於課堂期間,親自完成缩尺建築物模型。

本課程將提供模型製作所需的材料。
