HRM Programmes Articulation Path

The programme is intended to:
  1. Enable participants to develop the necessary skills, competencies and knowledge for effective, ethical and contemporary HR management in a business and organisational context.
  2. Provide students with the opportunity to develop the qualities needed for employment in complex and unpredictable HRM and related environments.
  3. Adopt a critical perspective on theory and research, and support the application of learning to students’ work environments.
  4. Provide the opportunity for students to pursue some subjects to greater depth, to seek out an avenue of HRM enquiry and to carry out independent research through the undertaking of an HR Research Project.

Professional accreditation has been attained from the CIPD for the MAHRM so that upon successful completion of the programme, and dependent on students being in active CIPD Student membership (students can join CIPD as student members upon successful application of the MA HRM programme), students will gain Associate membership on completion. They will then be eligible to upgrade to Chartered or Fellow membership (depending upon their level of HR experience).

The programme aims to provide students with:

1.   the latest concepts, tools and techniques in business psychology and human resource management (HRM)
       to achieve HR and corporate goals and objectives;
2.   various approaches to resolve issues and improve performances in the workplace; and
3.   a thorough understanding of skills needed to develop and increase the opportunities
       for effective conflict resolution.

In today’s world of data abundance, artificial intelligence and human resource analytics can help leaders of an organisation make more informed and insightful decisions about its employees. However, to truly become an insight-driven organisation, behavioural changes may be necessary for employees to embrace data-driven problem-solving and decision-making as part of its organisation culture.

The programme aims at, not only to equip human resource and people management professionals with the skills of Artificial Intelligence and human resource analytics, but also with the competence of managing challenges related to behavioural changes, such as conflict resolution, culture and change management.

Graduates of the Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Analytics and Organisation Change Management will be able to articulate to the Master of Arts Human Resource Management with 2 module exemptions.

The Professional Diploma in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Development programme offers the participants both theoretical principles and practical application in people management with an aim to enhance the capability of both the people managers and the organisation to meet up the challenges of a new era of people management where knowledge, skills and competencies in the expanded areas are critical to its success.
