本課程旨在 ：
1. 介紹學生戲劇的基本原素；
2. 使學生熟習戲劇演出的理論；
3. 訓練學生表演及導演的技巧實踐；
4. 使學生能運用戲劇技巧於學校內的其它科目作教學用途；
5. 訓練學生按照戲劇美學作出自我評論。

The programme aims to:

1. enable students to pursue in-depth academic studies (criticism and theory) and practical skills in photography;

2. introduce students to the historical background, development, and contemporary challenges of vintage & modern photography;

3. examine existing visual art theories and related critiques from historical, technical, and philosophical perspectives;

4. explore contemporary lens-based photography through a curriculum integrating culture, theory, and practice;

5. provide students with the opportunity to critique and reflect on their photographic learning through projects and written essays.

 

This programme will focus on key debates on popular culture and cultural consumption in relation to the media. Issues of pleasure, politics, meaning and value will be raised in connection with a range of cultural forms. Situated historically in the twentieth century, the programme analyses the development of mass culture as a socio-economic form, and as a term emerging in relation to other media forms, such as Hollywood movies, television programmes, music, art, print and new media. A range of theoretical perspectives will inform the analysis. The consumption of popular culture is addressed through recent ethnographic and qualitative work on audiences. 

The main objective of this programme is to introduce students to the key theories, thinking and debates surrounding new media studies. This programme will also contextualise the social functions and cultural meanings of digital/ new media technologies and their changes in different social and historical environments. The programme will encourage students to explore different forms of new media experiences and participations, and equip students with practical digital media production skills by designing, producing and publishing creative new media projects.

This programme aims to introduce students to the key meanings and structures of visual culture and thus help them investigate the ways in which cultural meanings are articulated, interpreted and communicated through different forms of visual-cultural practices, such as films, photographs, advertisements and museum displays etc. This programme will also introduce a range of visual research methods and media production techniques which develop students’ capacities in both analysing and creating visual-oriented projects.

媒體及文化分析深造文憑旨在培養學生對媒體及文化機構、意識形態及政策，以及它們與社會及經濟現實的關係的批判性理解。本課程為學生認識媒體、視覺、社會文化及經濟提供了紮實的基礎，讓他們能夠於媒體及文化研究、創意產業、媒體管理及廣告等範疇作進一步學習。

This programme provides students with the opportunity to acquire advanced piano teaching skills by training them to develop their own teaching philosophies and methodologies as professional piano teachers. Topics on teaching methodologies, issues on private and group teaching, piano repertoire lists, studio policy and business will be covered.  Observations on private and group studio teaching will be included in the programme.

Hong Kong's cultural and creative industries have grown at a rate faster than the overall economy in recent years. This Programme is designed  to equip you with practical knowledge of the activities, structures and processes involved in the management in this dynamic sector.

This programme serves as a platform for students to share their musical experiences and knowledge through performing during the lessons.  It provides students with an opportunity to perform in front of an audience (the whole class), and receive feedback and suggestions from the lecturer and other guest lecturers.  The recital opportunity will further enhance students’ skills and musicianship, broaden their repertoire knowledge, and develop their interpretational abilities.

The programme explores representative solo keyboard repertoire from the Baroque period to the 20th century, ranging from the elementary to advanced levels (ABRSM Grade 3 to diploma level). Special attention will be given to stylistic distinction in representative keyboard works in relation to the socio-cultural context in which the music was created and performed.

本課程旨在培養學生成為鋼琴演奏家和教師的進階技巧及能力。課程除了為學生提供專門的鋼琴演奏訓練外，還對學生的教學知識和鋼琴教學能力進行鑽研，使學生能夠在鋼琴教學中形成一系列的教學方法。本課程亦涵蓋音樂研究技巧與方法，以便學員將來進修音樂研究。
