PSC Pre-exam Immersion Enhancement Programme
(Standing Committee on Language Education and Research-funded)

Supported by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) and funded by the Language Fund, HKU SPACE is offering the Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC) Pre-Exam Immersion Enhancement Programme. The programme is designed to help teachers strengthen their spoken Putonghua and exam skills, with the goal of achieving Level 2 Grade A or above in the National Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC).

The programme adopts a structured learning approach — from pre-course diagnostic assessment, targeted training, and Beijing immersion, to mock examinations — enabling participants to identify weaknesses, refine their skills, and build confidence through intensive practice.

[Programme Highlights]

• Pre-course Diagnostic Assessment
  A one-on-one assessment covering pronunciation, reading aloud and impromptu speaking, with personalised feedback and a detailed report.
• Face-to-face Classes in Hong Kong
  Focused training on common marking criteria and pitfalls in the PSC, along with practical strategies for structuring and delivering the speaking task.
• Beijing Immersion Training
  A 5-day immersive programme at the Communication University of China, conducted entirely in Putonghua. Participants engage in intensive speaking practice with immediate feedback to enhance fluency and exam performance.
• Post-course Mock Examination
  A full mock test conducted after returning to Hong Kong, allowing participants to benchmark their progress against the initial assessment and prepare for high scores.
