Hong Kong is a bilingual society where English language proficiency is highly valued. English Language nowadays is not just confined to be solely used in "England" and in some Asian countries and cities where English is both the official and first language, it may not be even used purely by western or native English speaking people. 
English is a second language in Hong Kong. The big variety of development of English language worldwide creates some knowledge that some Hong Kong people may ignore in terms of its original and legitimate use. 
The talk and workshop will discuss about the issues of being a "purist" in using English language in our everyday life.
