Alex Stringer has been teaching English for thirty years, over twenty of them in Hong Kong. He currently teaches the advanced levels of the SPACE English course including the Advanced Diploma.

Students who have been studying English for a number of years often feel they are no longer making progress. They still have not reached the standard they would like, yet it seems they will be at the same level for ever. How can they reboot their motivation and make the big push for proficiency?
