Mr Alex Tang, Sport Psychologist
Alex Tang was a Sport Psychologist for sport teams in both Hong Kong and the UK. He is now a lecturer of sport programmes of HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk - Stanley Ho Community College. He is also an assessor for different courses related to Sport Psychology provided by Employees Retraining Board (ERB). Alex serves as a professional consultant on Sport Psychology for varies sport associations.

Everyone including football player faces different types of stress. Unmanageable stress during competition may affect adversely the team’s performance. The talk will cover the importance of mental abilities in contemporary football from a view of a Sport Psychologist. It will include a few case studies in order to explain the work of a Sport Psychologist to a football player. Moreover, discussing the situation of having multiple jobs for footballers as it is a common circumstance of the Hong Kong professional football.
