Ir Dr. Y.W. Tung

Dr. Tung is a system engineer with twenty-five years of experience in the railway industry; working from railway operations engineering, maintenance, and technical training to major railway design and construction projects in Hong Kong, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Macau. His technical skills include the management of the whole project lifecycle for mainline and mass transit railway systems. Dr. Tung is also familiar with railway operations and maintenance and related auditing of asset maintenance.

Our speaker is going  to explain what kinds of technology are being used in operating a modern railway network, such as the HK MTR network. Some interesting points about these technologies and the challenges of the applications will be shared. The human resources requirements and the career opportunities of railway in the near future will also be introduced in this online talk!
