Social and Business Etiquette in Arab World

Since the Belt and Road Initiative was first adopted by the Chinese government in 2013, there has been increasing China-Arab cooperation which brings forth better career prospects and more business opportunities. The two sides even signed an agreement on promotion and protection of investments in 2019, which came into full effect in 2020. In 2021, Hong Kong was the UAE's 7th largest export market. Furthermore, the HKSAR Government has set up a Hong Kong economic and trade office in Dubai since 2021 to deepen trade ties in the region.

With more contact between the Chinese and the Arabs, cultural differences play a crucial role in achieving business success through vast impacts on communication styles, teamwork dynamics, decision-making processes and other work aspects.
