Ms Anna Chan Pui Shan

Ms Anna Chan Pui Shan is a talented mezzo-soprano hailing from Hong Kong. She pursued her music education at the David Seligman Opera School, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD), with the support of a Leverhulme Trust Scholarship. Prior to her vocal training in the U.K., Anna began her musical journey at Hong Kong Baptist University and later delved into ethno-musicology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong under the guidance of Professor Michael Edward McClellan. Anna's exceptional abilities have earned her recognition on various platforms. In 2015, she was invited to present a solo recital at the Church of St Peter in Chains, Malta, as part of the Mdina Cathedral Contemporary Art Biennale. She also reached the finals of the Lillian Ash French Song Competition 2016 at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance in London and the Mario Lanza Opera Prize 2017 at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. During her time at RWCMD, Anna showcased her talent by portraying the title role of Mrs. Herring in Britten's Albert Herring, receiving praise from Glyn Pursglove. Recently, she took on the roles of Inez in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Gondoliers for RWCMD's summer opera and Vera Boronel (cover) in Menotti's The Consul at Welsh National Opera. Both Anna Chan Pui Shan and Francis Mok Yin Tsung contribute significantly to the vibrant music scene in Hong Kong, showcasing their exceptional talents and enriching the musical landscape with their artistry.

Mr Francis Mok Yin Tsung

Mr Francis Mok Yin Tsung leads a multifaceted life, excelling in various musical roles. He is a singer, conductor, vocal coach, competition adjudicator, and clinician. Francis has participated in numerous opera productions, assuming diverse characters such as Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Harašta and Priest in The Cunning Little Vixen, Peter in Hansel and Gretel, Frank in Die Fledermaus, and Snug in The Midsummer Night's Dream. Notably, his portrayal of Bartolo in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro earned him high acclaim as "a vibrant character in the opera." Currently, Francis serves as the Music Director of the Hong Kong Medical Association Choir, The University Choir at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong United College Choir. He is also a guest teacher at Hong Kong Baptist University's Music Department and the founder of Sing Music Academy, a singing school. Both Anna Chan Pui Shan and Francis Mok Yin Tsung contribute significantly to the vibrant music scene in Hong Kong, showcasing their exceptional talents and enriching the musical landscape with their artistry.
