Dr LEUNG Yung

Dr Leung Yung, College Lecturer; PhD (Sun Yat-Sen University), MA (HKU). Dr Leung has been teaching Chinese language, history and culture for about 30 years. He currently serves as an Education Director of the Hong Kong Docent Association and a Council member of the Hong Kong Teachers' Association. Besides publication of two books and a serious of articles on journals and newspapers, Dr Leung had been invited as a guest speaker for RTHK and TVB with theme on Hong Kong heritage.

There were certain TV programs produced in Hong Kong in the 1970’s which reflected the modern history of China and its relation with Hong Kong. Other than narrating history, those old TV programs themselves were cultural heritage. The guest speaker will focus on the subject matter, characteristic and the point of view of those programs. In addition, the old buildings and beautiful scenery of Hong Kong through the lens will also be appreciated.
