Dr Paris Yeung

Dr. Paris Yeung is now the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong. He is a seasoned banker and has over 35 years of banking experience in Hong Kong and Macau. He was an Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Banco Delta Asia Bank of Macau from 2022 to 2024. He served as senior management of Hang Seng Bank, Dah Sing Bank, CMB Wing Lung Bank and Chiyu Banking Corporation. He was approved by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Insurance Authority as a Responsible Officer and an Executive Officer. Dr. Yeung has extensive experience in wealth management and asset management, including investment return analysis of client portfolios, internal control, and regulatory compliance. He was a core member of the Credit Committee, which reviewed and approved corporate and commercial loans, and a core member of the Asset and Liability Committee, which supervised the investment and treasury departments. When he started his private banking and family office business in Macau, he led the product team to develop private funds that invested in wine and wine indices to private banking high-end clients. He also led the industry-first red wine loan business launched by CMB Wing Lung Bank. Dr. Yeung received his Doctor of Business Administration degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a member (non-practising) of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants, a fellow member of The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers and a fellow member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute. He is also the Vice Chairman of The Association of Hong Kong Accountants.

Mr Ferrix Lau

Mr Lau has over 10 years’ teaching experience in business, accounting and finance modules at tertiary level. He teaches Financial Analysis, Financial Risk Management, Quantitative Analysis, Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting as well as Corporate Governance. Moreover, he is a co-author of a Statistics book, Quantitative Analysis for Professional Studies and Projects. Furthermore, he has strong interests in the areas of Statistical Analysis, Quantitative Finance and Machine Intelligence. Mr Lau has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, major in Economics and minor in Computer Science. Besides, he holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration with Distinction from The University of Hong Kong, concentrating on the theme of Accounting Control and Financial Management.

HKU SPACE is fully registered and approved by the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK) to offer programmes in Financial Planning. The Diploma in Financial Planning is an exit award of the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning programme and meets the education requirement of IFPHK to sit for the ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (AFP^®) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERCM (CFP^®) certification examinations. The Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning allows students to apply for entry into Year 3 of Edinburgh Napier University’s Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Financial Services programme.
